The Leister TRIAC ST is a handy, reliable and versatile hot air hand tool for roofing projects. Use the TRIAC ST to weld seams in hard-to-reach areas, install small patches or perform various seam repairs.

Below are a few steps to walk you through how to start up and shut down your hot-air hand tool

Starting Up Your TRIAC ST

1. Plug the electrical cord into a 230V / 1600W electrical outlet.

2. Push in the black lever button so that the “I” side is flat against the handle.

Please note: Air temperature produced by the heat gun will vary depending on the nozzle opening — the narrower the opening the hotter the air stream.

4. Allow the heat gun to warm up for 3 minutes. Make sure it is in a low-traffic area and not pointing towards anything that may get damaged.

Shutting Down Your TRIAC ST

After you’ve finished using the TRIAC ST, it is important to let it cool down before completely shutting it off. Reason being, the heating element needs to be gradually cooled down, otherwise you run the risk of shortening its life.

1. Turn the black potentiometer dial to the left as far as it’ll go.

2. Let it cool down for 5 minutes in a safe place where it won’t be bumped and can’t damage anything.
